In 1973, disaster struck Chelsea for the second time when the Second Great Chelsea Fire burned 18 city blocks, leaving nearly a fifth of the city in ashes. Both fires originated in Chelsea’s “rag shop district,” cluttered streets filled with junk shops hawking scraps, metal, and combustible items. Wood-frame buildings and three- to six-family houses were built tightly together, and quickly caught fire.
Cam’s Demolition & Disposal started in 1977. From the start, Cam’s helped gut out some of the burnt out buildings and homes in Chelsea. Cam’s wanted to be involved in the rebuilding of the great city of Chelsea.
Today, we continue to work in Chelsea and we employ a lot of workers from the Chelsea area. All our workers have been well trained and tested for the best service for our customers. Cam’s foreman instruct all the workers before any demo is performed. Once all the workers have been instructed then the dismantling process begins. We make sure all our projects are finished skillfully and in a timely manner.
Many people don’t know, but Chelsea Mass is only 2.21 square miles, and is surrounded by three sides of water. The tiny peninsula is the smallest city by area in Massachusetts. Cam’s Disposal is a green company and we continually recycle and use scrap yards in Chelsea. Cam’s provides Chelsea residents with same day service because of Chelsea’s unique location and good access. When customers call in the morning, their dumpster is delivered in the afternoon. Also, Cam’s special hook-lift trucks can turn into the tightest spaces so we’re able to deliver dumpsters where other conventional roll-off trucks can’t. Cam’s has a satellite yard right next store in Everett, MA where we store our 10,15,20,25 and 30 yard dumpster containers. Cam’s has the right size dumpster container for all your needs.
